Rule Of THIRDS!

The rule of thirds is a fancy way of saying that having your subject in the middle of the frame is boring. To make the photo more interesting, it should be in one of the other thirds.

First Draft

A pinhole camera IS: "A camera that uses a very small hole, as if made by a pin instead of a lens, for light to enter and form an image on the film."

4 Main Parts Of A Camera:

1) Lens - Draws the light into the camera and focuses it on the film plane.

2) Aperture - Dilates and contracts to control the diameter of the hole that the light passes though, to let in more or less light. It is controlled by the f-stop ring.

3) Camera Body - The casing of the camera which holds the encloses the camera pats.

4) Shutter - It open and closes to control the length of time light strikes the film. There are two types of shutters: a leaf shutter, located between or just behind the lens elements, and a focal plane shutter, located in front of the film plane.

Mandie's Take On Photography

Okay, I freely admit it-- when it comes to photography, I am a complete beginner. I like taking pictures (thus signing up for the class) and they're usually of people!

However, I'd really like to learn more about closeups and lighting. I definitely have to work on editing, as well.
